As we already mentioned in several posts on the forum, we are now developing the third version of Jooforge, which will bring many new features and radical changes to ensure better support and ease of use of our products.

Documentation and Extras

A total reorganization of the site will offer a better usability, each project will have a complete documentation and comprehensive video tutorials with lessons on how to use it. There will be offered basic lessons (eg installation and configuration) and advanced lessons (eg personalization and tutorials) available in English by native speakers thanks to a new member in our team dedicated exclusively to this.

 

Each project will have a download section where you can download extra files such as extensions and integration with third-party plugins, graphic sources, a ready to install quickstart and many other ancillary contents.

Licensing and subscription plans

You will be able to buy our products by choosing between three different types of subscription, which will ensure different privileges and access to many restricted areas and functionality within the site.

Each project will be equipped with an automatic locking system against illegal use, during the first installation will be installed a license generated uniquely for a particular domain and user, this will provide access only to actual purchasers of the product, and allow us to find the responsible for any unauthorized distribution of our products.

At the end of each subscription you will loose your rights to updates and support, but you can reacquire them simply renewing your plan. If you do not want to renew, the product will continue working, except for the Developer category, where at the expiration of the subscription plan it must be renewed.

Help and Priority Support

Each subscription will guarantee a year of upgrades and standard support (via forums) to the product bought, but purchasing a Developer or Plus subscription you'll have access to the ticket section for priority assistance where you can talk directly with specialized members of our team that will help you step by step.

Join the development!

You can report any bugs or just propose your ideas through a fully automated system available to everyone. You will be able to follow the resolution of your problem or a roadmap always updated on new versions of each product.

Test Drive

You will be able to try every product on our online demo site. Feel free to try every product and its functionalities, an automatic system will reset the whole site every hour, restoring the original configuration.

The future…

With the introduction of V3 we want to release the long awaited version 2 of our best projects available to the public, we are talking about Jukebox and Gamesbox. For months we have collected suggestions for the implementation of new features, we are currently working on these projects following the guidelines proposed by you.

Some time ago we announced the creation of a new download manager called Nebula, we decided to keep the project closed to the public because it will be used in the new site as a download, payments, subscriptions and licensing manager. Once completed it will be divided into several components that will be published as individual projects (bugs, comments, downloads, payments).

A newcomer to our network will sink their roots in the heart of a high CMS, in fact we intend to follow the development of templates and widgets for the famous antagonist of Joomla, Wordpress. The new site is already available online and you can access it via www.wooforge.com and follow it on twitter.

…and the present

We want to release new extremely versatile templates during the development of V3 so there will be a wider range of products in our archives.

Gamesbox V2 and Jukebox V2 represent a radical redesign of our extensions, so we ask you not to insist on implementing new features to V1, since they require a drastic structural change. Most of the features you requested will be available in V2.

Conclusions

Jooforge V3 is involving a huge organizational work so we do not guarantee a specific opening date but we can certainly define a rough period corresponding to the 4Q of 2010, between September and December.

The current holders of a Standard or Developer license will not be affected by new plans’ terms and conditions so they will have unlimited support and updates for V1 of Gamesbox, Gamespoint, Bloggers and JPod. In case of upgrades to V2 there will be guaranteed a discount coupon of 70% of the full package.

secondo la mia opinione è semplicemente una "truffa" il fatto di dover pagare per gamesbox v2, gamespoint v2, etc. Gli aggiornamenti e le future versioni era stato scritto sarebbero sempre state gratuite e gli aggiornamenti illimitati per chiunque avesse usato il piano lifetime che attualmente c'è e quindi personalmente non condivido proprio questa nuova storia di pagare per aggiornare, nemmeno con il 70% di sconto

Più che lecito, ma posso facilmente smentire quello che affermi. Abbiamo detto che Gamesbox V2 verrà rilasciato come progetto a se stante e non come update, in quanto la quantità di features da implementare richiedono una completa riprogettazione del componente, ti posso solo dire che Gamesbox V2 potrebbe benissimo essere un nuovo progetto, siccome non ha nulla a che fare con la V1. Per questo motivo non possiamo rilasciarlo come aggiornamento.

Avrai comunque diritto all'assistenza ed eventuali update di sicurezza che comunque verranno rilasciati per la V1, ma nessuna nuova funzionalità verrà implementata in quest'ultima in quanto necessitano di una strutturazione diversa del componente.

Ciao Stefano, ci tengo a dire che accettiamo ogni opinione e critica, ma "truffa" è un termine che per nulla si addice alla richiesta di pagamento per la v2 di gamesbox.

Gamespoint v2 non sarà una rivisitazione dell'attuale tema, bensì un nuovo tema totalmente diverso in grafica ed impostazioni, invece discorso a parte è da farsi per Gamesbox v2.

In questi mesi, come scritto nell'articolo, abbiamo raccolto i vostri suggerimenti, preso critiche e risolto bug... fornendo a tutti una versione v1 stabile, in molti casi anche per template sulla quale non era nostro dovere intervenire, proprio a conferma della nostra grande voglia di far bene e far conoscere il prodotto.

Fatta questa premessa spiego la richiesta di pagamento aggiuntiva per la v2.

Leggendo il post riservato alla v2 ( nel forum ), si potrà notare che sono state avanzate più di 20proposte di nuove features. Di queste alcune risultano complesse, se non difficilissime da applicare a qualsiasi componente joomla.
Per noi cercare di integrare queste features, rappresenta una sfida e la creazione di un componente davvero unico nel suo genere, come lo è stato anche per la V1, però purtroppo ciò, come scritto più volte stà richiedendo la riscrittura del componente... e con tale termine si intende lo smembramento e l'inizio da ZERO del progetto.

Detto ciò è chiaro che non possiamo non tenere conto dello sforzo necessario a rilasciare la v2. Si garantisce l'assistenza illimitata per la v1 come da voi tutti acquistata e questo è un dato di fatto che non cambierà, ma avere un prodotto gratis che è totalmente diverso dal precedente ed uguale solo nel nome, di sicuro non è possibile.

Dicendo che ci sarà la v2, non significa accantonare e non fornire assistenza per la v1, in quanto sarà voltra scelta fare l'upgrade al nuovo progetto. Infine, stiamo cercando un modo per venire incontro a tutti coloro per la quale gamesbox v1 già basta ma richiedono piccole migliorie.

giuseppe, non prendere come un offesa il termine truffa, l'ho messo tra virgolette proprio perchè non lo è ma sono semplicemente deluso da questa cosa. Detto questo, comprendo benissimo lo sforzo nel fare la v2 e come federico sa e spero anche tu apprezzo moltissimo il vostro lavoro. Spero solo però che magari non ci si limiti solo ad uno sconto per chi ha già acquistato la vecchia versione, qualcosa in più come il servizio di assistenza via ticket sarebbe gradito perlomeno ai primi che hanno preso gamesbox

sinceramente....e ripeto sinceramente.....la cosa di dover pagare ogni anno e anche solo pagare per l'assistenza non mi sta tanto bene visto che comunque è logico che insieme al componente richiedo anche l'assistenza ad esso.....

A parte poi il fatto che i vostri componenti sono abbastanza chiari da usare e quindi l'utilizzo non è difficile....ma facciamo caso che ci sia per esempio un bug che non lo fa andare su un determinato template, sito, hosting....

E poi spero sinceramente che il prezzo ad esempio non leviti da 50€ a 100€ .....no perchè senò col cavolo.....io non ho tutti sti soldi da pagare anche si una volta all'anno....

Posso assicurarti che per noi ogni cliente è importante e credo sia ampiamente dimostrato sia dal supporto che forniamo sul forum sia dai costanti update che sono stati rilasciati e che rilasceremo per ogni prodotto, free e commerciale. Sicuramente terremo conto delle vostre opinioni anche questa volta e cercheremo di venirvi incontro nel migliore dei modi, come puoi notare uno sconto del 70% non è poco e ti assicuro che la nuova versione per i clienti esistenti sarà più economica di quello che pensate.

Loris il rinnovo annuale sarà pari ad 1/3 del prezzo intero. Contiamo di rilasciare aggiornamenti con più frequenza (data l'espansione che vedrà il nostro team) e quindi insorgeranno nuovi problemi, nuovi bug da risolvere, questo spiega il rinnovo dell'assisteza.

D'ogni modo per ora dovete avere solamente pazienza, perchè siamo già alle prese con lo sviluppo dei nuovi progetti e del nuovo portale.
